Join us in hand tying the quilt together, celebrating our creation, and making art together at this final event for the Ottawa Trans Joy Quilt September 28, 2pm – 4pm at the Ottawa Trans Library – 1104 Somerset Ave W

What is this event?

• hand tying the quilt together

• hanging out with each other

• reading, sharing and creating artwork and zines. If you want to create something to describe your square or your experience, materials will be available

• sewing new creations. Quilting material will still be available, though the quilt itself will be completed.

Whether you made five squares or none, you are welcome at this event.

Masks will be required at this event for the health and safety of our community. N95s and tests will be available. Please do not attend if you are ill.

Accessibility: the library has several steps to enter, with a ramp available on request. The washroom however is small, and there is limited space to maneuver within the library. There are businesses nearby (Yakko Takko at 1082 Somerset W and Tooth and Nail Brewing Company at 3 Irving Ave) with fully accessible washrooms. It is a small space, and may become a loud and crowded environment.

Please reach out with any specific accessibility needs at FriendlyLocalQuiltqueers@proton.me
