The Ottawa Trans Library is an Ontario Not-for-Profit corporation. Our board of directors is elected annually by our membership.
In order to become a member, you must, in the last 3 months, have met at least one of the following criteria:
- borrowed an item from our collection
- been a volunteer
- donated at least $50
- been a volunteer or member of a Two-Spirit or Trans community group or not-for-profit in the Ottawa or Gatineau area whose values align with those of the library
You must also agree to all of the following:
- receiving membership communications by email
- acting in the library’s best interest and in furtherance of the library’s mission, purpose and values
- abiding by our articles, by-laws and policies
Finally, unless waived by the board of directors, you must live in the City of Ottawa, the Outaouais region, or any county adjacent to the City of Ottawa.
